What are the advantages of a double lock standing seam metal roof?
ALL of the pictures on the website are double lock standing seam roofs. We use this profile for several reasons. For starters, the double lock standing seam roof is the historically correct metal roof. It has been used in America dating back to the 1800s giving any house whether old or modern a unique historical appeal.

However, the other advantage is our seams are 100% water tight which is not the case with other metal roofing profiles. Furthermore, double lock standing seam roofs are fastened down much better than other metal roofing profiles giving our customers the most weather resistant roof on the market.

What about the paint?
Good question! Our metal is steel with a galvalume finish which is a metal alloy that makes the roof rust resistant, even if a scratch were ever to occur. This is not the case with the old tin roofs where a scratch could lead to the demise of the roof.

The other major advantage to our metal is the kynar finish in the paint. The paint is guaranteed for 25 years by our metal manufacturer (www.drexelmetals.com), and is maintenance free. Meaning, you will not have to keep painting your roof, the paint stays the same!
